EACH YEAR IN AMERICA, 3 MILLION CHILDREN EXPERIENCE HOMELESSNESS. COVID-19 HAS MADE THE PROBLEM WORSE.
Family Promise of San Gabriel Valley works to prevent and end family homelessness locally. We are partnering with Family Promise National and our network of over 200 affiliates nationwide to host Family Promise Giving Day.
Giving Day is a 24-hour online campaign to raise awareness and funds for Family Promise SGV to support families across America experiencing homelessness or at-risk of losing their housing. In addition to providing emergency shelter, Family Promise SGV focuses on preventing families from becoming homeless in the first place.
We believe a child’s Future Begins at Home. Preventing a family from becoming homeless is the most effective way to address the crisis of family homelessness. This year, low-income families need our help more than ever. Together, we can prevent children from experiencing the trauma of homelessness and keep them with their families, safe at home. When families do experience the crisis and instability of housing insecurity, Family Promise SGV exists to support families with solutions while providing hospitality, shelter and intensive case management in collaboration with our Congregational Network and volunteers.
Register to join us on April 21st to share stories, spread the word about Family Promise, and raise funds for our important work. We'll be hosting an online event at 6:30pm, April 21 to hear from families and celebrate the work of our volunteers, congregations and 10 years of serving families in crisis.
