Shelter
We provide safe, supportive shelter through temporary motel placements and our upcoming 48-bed interim housing program launching in Azusa in early 2027.
Stabilization
Once families are housed, we help them stay that way through financial coaching, employment support, tenancy education, and connections to community resources.

Many families are only one unexpected expense away from losing their home. We help San Gabriel Valley families facing a housing crisis stay safe and avoid homelessness by providing practical, individualized support before a crisis becomes homelessness. Services may include rental or move-in assistance, housing navigation, and one-on-one case management — meeting each family where they are and helping them regain stability as quickly as possible.

When families have nowhere safe to turn, we make sure they aren't alone. We currently provide temporary motel placements to ensure families have immediate access to safe shelter during a housing crisis. Looking ahead, Family Promise SGV is partnering with a local faith-based organization in Azusa to open a new 48-bed interim housing program for families with minor children — expanding local shelter capacity and providing a safe, supportive environment for families experiencing homelessness, with launch planned for early 2027.

Getting housed is just the first step — staying housed is the goal. Once families have a safe place to live, our stabilization services help them build the foundation for long-term success. Support may include tenancy education, financial coaching, employment and career support, educational enrichment, digital literacy and technology access, and connections to health and wellness resources, all designed to strengthen stability and reduce the risk of returning to homelessness.
